The stick is only responding to quick taps in any direction. Trying to hold a bearing only results in the controls going dead. This is a pilots worst nightmare.

Not enough fuel to survive leaving orbit for open space, and a debris field blocks the approach route.

If we pull up too much, we will leave orbit and die in the cold of space. If we come in too steep, we will burn up in the atmosphere. There is nothing left to do but push forward and try to make it...
